Business and education working together

Blue and Gold Inc., a nonprofit corporation supported by alumni, the business community and friends of Everett High School, want to thank the many generous people and organizations who have supported us this year in our efforts.

Most recently, we experienced a wonderful example of how business and education can work together to provide for our students. With the assistance of grants from the foundation arms of McDonalds, Regence Blue Shield, Pacific Care and the Everett Clinic, combined with the continued support of Art and Kimberly Presto, owners of local McDonald's restaurants, Everett Downtown Rotary, Everett City and Snohomish County governments, Everett School District aAdministration, and a large number of loyal alumni, breakfasts and daily snacks were provided and served to sophomore students taking this year's WASL tests. Early in the morning, our community was there to both serve the students nutritional meals and encourage them to do their best.

Throughout the year, we have called upon many of these same supporters to provide assistance in our endeavors as we provide opportunities, most often for the benefit of less fortunate students, and they continue to give in the true spirit of our community. We hope that by their example, they will inspire others to become involved with their local schools as well.
