Dear Friends of Everett High School

During the month of April, approximately 400 students of Everett High School’s sophomore class truly were supported by their community as they faced the challenge of WASL testing. We are convinced that our cumulative efforts make a material difference. Last year, test scores were measurably better on the days we served breakfast.

While we know that starting the day with breakfast helps us face challenges with an advantage, with the additional benefit of having your community greets you with a smile and encouragement to do well, students can’t help but begin their day in a positive manner.

On behalf of the students and staff of Everett High, Blue and Gold, Inc. wants to thank you for joining with us in another show of that traditional spirit that rings in “The School of Champions”. While many of those listed below are EHS alum, many are not and that fact encourages and inspires us even more, because we believe the spirit is contagious! Together we served almost 1200 breakfasts, and healthy snacks to every student each day of testing!

Join us in congratulating the following community members who participated in this year’s WASL breakfast, representing the Everett School District, Everett Rotary, City of Everett, Port of Everett, Snohomish County Government, and citizens at large:

A special thank you to Marc Baker, who was instrumental in assisting us with transporting food supplies to the school, as well as helping us plan the logistics of getting hundreds of snack items to the right place at the right time.

And again, our heartfelt thanks to Art and Kim Presto, owners of McDonalds on Everett Ave/Broadway, and 41st Street. This is the 2nd year the Presto’s and their managers have volunteered to prepare, deliver and serve breakfast to our students. They are truly part of the family and we are very appreciative of their continued support.

Thank you to Lori White, Blue and Gold, Inc. Treasurer, for her organization of this annual event. Her dedication, spirit and selflessness exemplify the ideals of our great board of directors.

Very truly yours,
Blue and Gold, Inc.
