EVERETT (January 3, 2006) Blue and Gold, Inc. announced today it has received community grants
totaling $7,500 from The Pacificare Foundation ($5,000) and The Howarth Trust ($2,500) to
support its mission to create funding which assists in financially supporting students
in activities where participation can enhance additional growth and success at
Everett High School. B&G, Inc. endeavors to financially support students in need, enabling
them to participate in activities of their choice (whether it is academic, vocational or
athletic) at Everett High School.

June Remboldt Aprille won't be at Everett Memorial Stadium tonight to see her alma mater
play its homecoming game against Shorewood High School. Until recently, she hadn't been
back to Everett in years.

Blue and Gold Nominated For Prestigious Award
Blue and Gold is proud to have been nominated for the KCTS Golden Apple Award for Excellence
in Education. The award is a statewide recognition program presented by KCTS
Public Television. The goal of the award is to honor people and programs making a
difference in preK-12 education in the Washington area. Stay tuned for more information.
Volunteer Efforts Feed 400 Sophomore Test Takers

sophomores over three days and snacks daily during the eight days of WASL testing.
